Happy Chinese New Year to all. Shin yin kuai le wan shi ru yi. Ang pau na lai..
When it comes to Chinese New Year, it is like a must for me to go back to Penang. Well, Penang is the most happening state when it comes to celebrating CNY since most of the population in Penang is Chinese.
And since I am living in the Chinese community in Ayer Itam, to be exact in Farlim, no doubt my CNY won’t be the same at anywhere else.
Just imagine fireworks and firecrackers back-to-back at your neighbourhood, in the morning you can watch the Lion Dance at your neighbour’s place and the best part is, watching the Kek Lok Si glitters. For your information, Kek Lok Si Temple only displays the colourful lights during Chinese New Year and Wesak Day.
And I can see all this just from my house veranda (but from the veranda, I can only see the Guan Yin statue).
That’s why I love coming back to Penang for Chinese New Year holiday. I love Penang.
