Tapai, not tupai and not even tapau. My mom made for me tapai pulut last Sunday to bring back to KL. She wrapped it nicely in the banana leaves.
It turned out to be very sweet and the glutinous rice was white in colour. People said if the tapai maker is in menses, the tapai will become red in colour. But it was just perfect for my mom’s tapai.
